Ribo Presented New Data Highlighting Triglycerides, ApoC3 and Cardiovascular Health at ESC 2026

Suzhou Ribo Life Science Co., Ltd. (06938.HK) and its subsidiary Ribocure Pharmaceuticals AB(collectively referred to as "Ribo") presented two clinical study results in cardiovascular field at the ESC Congress 2026, held in Munich, Germany.
This new research highlights a close connection between elevated triglycerides, inflammation, and cardiovascular health. The latest clinical data show that patients with higher fasting triglyceride levels have a more inflammatory and metabolically unhealthy profile, along with poorer cardiovascular function. Meanwhile, the Phase 1 results for RBD5044, an ApoC3-targeting siRNA, demonstrate that substantial and long-lasting triglyceride reduction is accompanied by favorable changes in lipid-related proteins and inflammatory biomarkers.
Together, these findings suggest that ApoC3 silencing may do more than lower triglycerides. By targeting a key driver of elevated blood fats, it may also help address the underlying metabolic and inflammatory processes that contribute to cardiovascular disease.

About RBD5044
RBD5044 is a GalNAc conjugated siRNA designed using Ribo's proprietary RiboGalSTARTM liver targeting technology platform for the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia. It is the second ApoC3-targeting siRNA worldwide to enter clinical development. In the Phase I clinical trial, a single injection of RBD5044 resulted in up to an 84% reduction in ApoC3, accompanied by a triglyceride (TG) reduction of up to 70%, which remained below 50% of baseline at the six months follow-up. Participants also demonstrated a broadly improved lipid profile. The therapy was well tolerated, with no dose dependent adverse events and no liver enzyme elevations observed at the highest dose tested. Together, these safety and efficacy findings support RBD5044’s potential as a best-in-class ApoC3-targeting therapy. RBD5044 is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials in Sweden and China.
